Sectarian Violence in Battastan

Umrikan forces have taken out Saquack, but part of Operation "Bring Democracy" has come to a halt. The Umrikan army has taken control of the western petroleum deposits, but has left a large area -- including half of Londonistan -- open without order.

When Saquack was in power, he established an executive cabinet of ducks. Although Saquack came from a traditional Geese family, Saquack was thoroughly against the Geese. Infact, on his way to Ad-Damman to take our the illegal terrorist bases of Donald Duck, Saquack particularly targeted villages of Geese and had them executed along with the mayhem.

The UN Human Rights Watch stood silently by, msot likely due to the reformations of Kofi Annan that stressed only First-World countries should be charged with human rights violations.

The Umrikan government has not issued a statement on how long they plan to stay in Battastan or what they plan to do with the petroleum reserves. However, the Umrikan government is committed to bringing democracy for the citizens of Battastan.

This does not bode well for all. In the arid lands of the geese, a group known as the Mujahaquack issued a statement saying that they will not stop until they take Londonistan and avenge the Geese who died because of terrorist Ducks.

Member of Mujahaquack
The Mujahaquack is not a new group. They were responsible for several car bombings in the 1990s, as well as a suspected link to Al-Quacda after the 11/9 attacks. However, the group remained silent until after the geese murders of Saquack.

The Umrikan government does not negotiate with terrorists. There are groups of terrorist ducks in the country, however there are many ducks and geese that are looking to pick up the pieces of Battastan and construct a strong country. A modern, first world nation, with a thriving economy.

Dr. Mallardmud Al-Quackari stated that he seeks to become the next president of Battastan. There is enough petroleum for the country to live in wealth, and create a sustainable future for the children of Battastan.

However. Dr. Al-Quackari has only backing from academics -- not a militant group. Also, the scientists and doctors backing him are mostly modernized ducks and geese that get along as one. This is becoming less common or acceptable in the society of Londonistan as ethnicity is beginning to be the cause of divide.
