Iranian Diplomat Kidnapped in Yemen

First. It is important to declare and let be known that Iran is not an Arab country. Farsi (Persian Language) is not a Semitic language, it is Indo-European. This can be seen in the grammar and in the words used. The characters for writing are 95% the same, between Arabic & Farsi, with Farsi having several extra letters and different pronunciation on others.

While many consider Iran to be a Middle Eastern country, this is not an exclusively held view. But it is undeniable that Iran is a major influence in the Middle East. There has been a long struggle, especially with 5aleegee neighbors, over dominance, as Iran has been responsible for inciting violence and supplying munitions to groups located in the Shams (Syrian-Lebanese) region.

On Sunday, while in his car, an Iranian diplomat was captured by a gunman in the capital city of Yemen. The gunman apprehended the diplomat and disappeared, without a trace. Iranian officials became furious. Calls were made to the Yemeni Embassy and to the Yemeni minister of foreign affairs.

Yemen has not made an official response, however, it is almost certain that the gunman was a member of a larger terrorist network. It is believed by the United States, that Yemen has one of the most active terrorist groups.

However, this is not a historic fact. Yemen is the basin of a once great and powerful culture. It has been known through out the Middle East that the former kings of Yemen were deliberate in judgement, and were the most just and learned of contemporary rulers. Sanaa was
a capital of art and architecture, now crumbling due to negligence and influx of negative influences.

Regarding religion, unlike most other countries in the Middle East, Yemen is nearly a 50:50 split between Chi'a and Sunni. 45% of the Muslim population is Chi'aite and 55% of the Muslim population is Sunnite. There is also a considerable population of Yemeni Jews still living within the country, most documented ones live in urban areas.

Iran, a predominantly Chi'a Islamic Theocracy, has been pushing their own agenda on the Arab World. This was seen as a positive matter by Bashaar al-Assad, an Alauite, and by Hezbollah Chief, Hassan Nasrallah. Both Chi'aite groups that represent a minority in their countries, but assume successive power.

It is unclear where Iran stands, now that Syria is engulfed in Civil War, but certainly not as close with Assad as they once were. However, it is unlikely that the kidnapping in Yemen is based on conflict in Syria.
